Spring to the Tap Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status

Spring to the Tap is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code as of October 2nd, 2014. Contributions donated to Spring to the Tap are fully tax-deductible retroactive to June 10, 2013, the date Spring to the Tap incorporated as a nonprofit in Washington State.

Spring to the Tap was launched in the Summer of 2011 to educate the public about the impact that bottled water can have on a person's health, the environment, and the community at large. Originally, it was an 8th grade school project directed towards helping the community become a better place. In June of 2013 Spring to the Tap was incorporated as an official non-profit in Washington State, and in October 2014 Spring to the Tap was federally recognized as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Spring to the Tap is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working towards a future with clean, accessible, and sustainable water for all.

We advocate for tap water on the basis of local and global issues symbolized by bottled water. These issues are manifested in multidimensional plastic pollution and freshwater depletion and privatization. These problems have become rooted in a culture largely unaware of its impacts. Together we can solve these issues with simple day-to-day changes and developing long-term solutions for a healthy and sustainable future.
